Job Responsibilities
The
Auto Claims Adjuster - Auto Fire, Theft and Total Loss
is responsible for conducting commercial automobile claim investigations adjusting in a remote office setting. The Adjuster is also responsible for, but not limited to: Investigating losses and identifying coverage issues. Identifying red flags for potential fraud indicators Working with Independent Appraisers and Experts (arson, fraud investigators, law enforcement, fire department personnel, forensic accountants, accident reconstructionists, attorneys, for example) Obtaining, reviewing and recommending action plans pertaining to claim estimates, evidence, reports. Handling First-party Fire and Theft Total loss claims, 3 years plus. Handling Total Loss, Fire, Theft, 3 years plus. SUI investigation as it related to Fire and Theft claims, 3 years plus. Negotiating storage fees and towing charges. Establishing accurate damages valuations and reserves. Processing payments. Taking recorded statements from insureds, claimants. Maintain claim file per best claim practice guidelines. Obtain and maintain all required state licenses. Preferred Knowledge
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail Experience in investigating coverage, writing coverage letters. Strong organizational and computer skills Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize Ability to switch focus at a moment's notice Ability to multi-task Self-motivator: works independently with minimal to moderate supervision Past experience handling commercial Auto Fire and Theft property damage claims Preferred past experience as a Fraud Investigator or working with similar groups, state/local task- forces and/or fraud bureaus Self-motivator: works independently with minimal to moderate supervision Past experience handling commercial Auto Fire and Theft property damage claims Proven record of top tier performance ratings Bachelor's degree required Ability to formulate solid action plans to resolve claims Ability to effectively present files in front of groups Ability to travel for company / claim related events if needed

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
