Bigdata / Hadoop Architect Job Location:
Oldsmar, FL Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills
8+ years of experience in Java and J2EE technologies 5+ years of experience in Architecture with a minimum of 2 years on Hadoop 3+ years of experience in leading and mentoring a team at Architect level Extensive Solutioning and implementation skills using CDH involving Impala, Spark, MapReduce, and Hive Processing Streaming inputs / Importing data into HDFS from heterogeneous technologies Capacity Planning for Hadoop Clusters Processing Unstructured Data with Structured data in a SLA driven environment Expertise in Hadoop Monitoring and Performance tuning activities Knowledge of E2E CDH ecosystem Hands-on experience in development and administration Knowledge of Data Lakes, Processing with Graph DBs, and Scala is a plus Knowledge of working in an Agile / Scrum based environment is a plus Technical team management experience including offshore team members Excellent personal communication, leadership, and organizational skills Experience in Machine Learning and Data Analytics Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for overall Hadoop architecture, Capacity Planning, design, and standards Guide onshore and offshore teams to ensure standards are met Work with the application development teams throughout the development life cycle Stay current with emerging industry trends Ability to take initiative and ownership of tasks Create Preliminary and Detail design documents based on business requirements Explain complex design items through documents and white-board sessions with customers Desirable Technical / Functional Skills
Enabling Automated Code Quality Checking tools for Impala and Spark. Total experience in required skill (years):
