Geo Week News
and the
Geo Week Event ! In this role, you’ll help shape the voice and vision of Geo Week’s digital content and conference programming. You’ll work closely with the Sr. Content Manager to develop and execute content strategies that drive attendance, lead generation, and engagement across our platforms.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Create & Manage Content: Write, edit, and publish digital articles, newsletters, and social media posts that align with weekly and monthly goals and resonate with the Geo Week audience. Industry Engagement: Stay informed on geospatial trends, conduct interviews and case studies, and maintain relationships with thought leaders, exhibitors, and sponsors. Event & Webinar Support: Assist in developing conference programming, moderate or speak at sessions, and coordinate webinars that align with content and marketing strategies. Lead Generation & Sponsored Content: Support the creation of industry reports and collaborate with sponsors and the sales team to deliver contracted content initiatives. Performance Tracking: Use analytics tools and feedback to measure content effectiveness and inform future strategies. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and event teams to align content with campaign goals and audience engagement strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
Editorial Skills: Strong interviewing, writing, and editing abilities with a knack for storytelling and content strategy. Industry Curiosity: No need to be a geospatial expert- if you're a self-starter with experience writing about technology or complex topics and have a drive to stay informed, you'll thrive in this role. Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and event teams. Strategic Thinking: Ability to track the competitive landscape and identify new content and sponsorship opportunities. Organizational Agility: Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Travel:
Required 2-3 times annually. If you are fully remote, additional travel to our office located in Portland, ME may be required.
