What you'll do
Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers
Reconcile and balance accounts
Generate and analyze financial statements
Prepare and process payroll
Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements
Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors and banking contacts
Assist in client retention and growth opportunities
Your Expertise
High school diploma or equivalent
National bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or the ability to obtain them
1-3 years of bookkeeping experience
Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles & procedures
Ability to interpret and apply instructions, policies, and regulations
Discretion in handling confidential information
Analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to multi-task and work independently
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Xero accounting software
