POSITION SUMMARY
The Brand Manager Private Label & 3rd Party will drive private brand development, strategy, and performance. You will leverage consumer insights, market trends, and data-driven insights to prioritize growth opportunities aligned with our strategic objectives. The ideal candidate is an independent self-starter with strong entrepreneurial drive, capable of connecting people and ideas. This role requires an on-site presence at our headquarters for frequent collaboration with Suppliers and multiple departments.

Essential Functions:
- Translate the private brands vision into new products and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Present clear, data-backed product strategies to senior management to secure buy-in and alignment.
- Manage the Product Change Notification program for Private label and 3rd party items.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for private label products.
- Negotiate contracts and formulate policies with Suppliers.
- Ensure packaging requirements meet company standards.
- Serve as the point of contact with Private Label/3rd Party Suppliers, supporting issue resolution and collaboration.
- Evaluate contracted private label suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery, and support.
- Propose and evaluate new product lines for the private label portfolio.
- Participate in R&D for OEM product specifications.
- Coordinate with Suppliers and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
- Partner with Marketing to create campaigns that enhance customer engagement and product visibility.
- Provide performance reports and analysis for continuous improvement.
- Maintain regular communication with Suppliers regarding programs and market updates.
- Identify savings opportunities.
- Negotiate special items, discounts, or rebates with the Sales team.
- Monitor supplier performance through reviews and QMS programs.
- Review and approve specifications for bids and manage bid awards with senior management approval.
- Build trust with suppliers through integrity and results-oriented actions.
- Assist with other tasks and projects as needed.

Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience: Over three years in distribution or laboratory settings, with strong business sense and portfolio knowledge in scientific supplies. Proficient in vendor management, product management, marketing, supply chain, operations, and project management.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills preferred. Adaptability to new systems is essential.
