Learn how to inspect homes using special tools to find ways to reduce energy waste Check insulation, heating/cooling systems, windows, and appliances Suggest upgrades that save energy and money Help create healthier, safer, and more durable homes Why Join?
No experience needed - we will teach you everything! Free, grant-funded training with hands-on learning Earn nationally recognized certifications Get help with resumes, interview prep, and job placement Flexible learning options: in-person, online, or live webinars Support services like transportation and childcare available if eligible Clear path to a stable, well-paying career in energy efficiency Who Can Apply?
Must be 18 or older High school diploma or equivalent required Access to a computer and reliable transportation is a plus but not required (let us know if you need help) Must complete a placement test after applying Program Details:
Duration: 4 to 8 weeks depending on the session Location: Roxbury Community College, 1234 Columbus Ave, Roxbury, MA Schedule: Daytime classes and some evening Zoom sessions available What You'll Learn:
Basics of building science and the house-as-a-system approach How heat, air, and moisture move through homes How to use energy auditing tools and techniques How to evaluate heating and cooling systems and insulation How to report your findings and suggest improvements Career Paths After Completion:
