As a Building Automation Control Systems Technician, you will: Start up, commission, and re-commission customer systems utilizing DDC technology. Troubleshoot mid-level systems problems and provide solutions. Deliver turnkey projects on small budgets (80 hours or less). Work with unitary systems (VAV/FPB/FCU), small AHUs, basic CW/HW systems, and front-end setups. Complete all required commissioning documentation and maintain accurate As-Built drawing packages. Handle total system operation from controllers to sensors, including software loading, trend setup, alarms, and reports. Perform mid-level static commissioning of software programming. Provide site-specific training for owners/operators on the total system. Set up operator workstations with associated software and perform daily job database backups. Communicate effectively with customers and project managers, maintaining a daily log of job-related activities. Adhere to safety standards and possess computer and networking skills for maintaining laptops and mobile devices. Understand the operation and control of mechanical equipment and their control sequences. Skills & Qualifications:
HVAC with a focus on building automation controls. Field experience with Controls and third-party control systems. Experience with Phoenix software (WebCtrl, SiteBuilder, ViewBuilder, LogicBuilder, InterOp 3.02, Alert, Draw, EDB, Eikon, Supervision, Accel Works). Ability to handle multiple simultaneous challenges across different disciplines. Additional Information:
Territory includes NY & NJ; candidates will drive their own vehicles and be reimbursed for daily expenses. No on-call shifts in the install group, but opportunities for overtime. Typical hours are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Current project on a college campus in Long Island. Candidates must be capable of climbing ladders and lifting items up to 50 lbs. Why Work Here?
