The Purchasing Analyst Manager plays a pivotal role on our Dining Operations Team and is responsible for researching and analyzing various products and services essential to supporting the business. These could include, but are not limited to, raw materials, packaging, non-food, and professional services.
Duties And Responsibilities
Analyze procurement data, market trends, and supplier performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing sourcing strategies. Analyze Specialty Market KPI’s and work with the Sr Dir of Specialty Markets to recommend assortment based on performance of categories Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement effectiveness and opportunities. Actively monitor and maintain supplier price tracker and ensure supplier document compliance, which includes verifying that all necessary documents, such as contracts, certifications, and licenses, are up to date and in line with company standards. Confidently leverage a broad suite of standard analytics tooling, such as PowerBI for data visualization, and Snowflake for data warehousing, that may require unique or complex integrations across systems. Perform complex landed cost-benefit analyses to evaluate procurement strategies and identify opportunities for cost savings. Work on projects to identify cost reduction opportunities, analyze cost structures, and contribute to cost savings and avoidance targets. Maintain accurate procurement data, generate reports, and provide insights to support decision-making processes Support regular supplier business reviews that capture spend, performance, technology roadmaps, business growth strategies, and supply market change Perform complex data analysis using various tools (Excel, Power Bi, etc.) Develop a deep level of understanding of the data under analysis, focusing on ensuring the right balance of accuracy and completeness with timely delivery of required information Actively participate in the project ideation process, using data to identify performance improvement opportunities Navigate seamlessly throughout the organization during data gathering and analysis activities, fostering relationships with partners throughout the business Assist members of the Procurement and Operations team in analyzing data to support shared objectives and drive strategy.
Typical Skills And Knowledge
Contract negotiation strategies, including food safety, pricing, and technical terms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, market volatility, and risk management strategies within commodity markets. Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes, policies, and procedures. Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently. Ability to work on tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an appreciation of and attention to essential details. Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. Must be computer proficient (MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) with intermediate to advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with a willingness to support team objectives and company goals.
Position Qualifications
Legal Age: 18 years Education or Equivalent Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience. Professional Experience: 5+ years’ relevant analytical experience. Supply chain experience withing the food service industry. QSR, Fast Casual and/or Fine Dining experience preferred. Travel Requirements: 10% or more Software: Recipe Management Software such as SAP Schedule: May require some nights, weekends, and holidays
