Senior Software Engineer C# / AWS / Fixed Income Trading Senior Software Engineer C# / AWS / Fixed Income Trading Senior Software Engineer C# / AWS / Fixed Income Trading Overview Optomi, in partnership with a global investment management organization, is building out a next-generation fixed income trading platform within a high-performance engineering team. This initiative supports the transformation of legacy trading systems into a modern, scalable, cloud-based architecture. The program is still in its early stages and offers engineers the chance to shape foundational elements of a critical trading platform. Engineers joining this team will contribute to both greenfield development and support for existing C# applications within a high-caliber enterprise environment. This role is a contract to hire position, with 2 day onsite work days a week. Experience of the Right Candidate The ideal candidate will have: 8+ years of hands-on experience with C# in enterprise-grade environments. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight, while contributing to a fast-paced team. A fluid, polyglot engineering mindsetwith exposure to Python and/or React strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred). A background in large-scale enterprise organizations (5,000+ employees). Financial services or trading platform experience is a plus. Candidates who thrive in dynamic environments and bring a strong sense of ownership to their work will be best positioned for success. Responsibilities of the Right Candidate Collaborate with a team of engineers and business analysts to modernize fixed income trading systems. Write, maintain, and optimize code in C# while contributing to components built in Python and React as needed. Work with SQL databases to manage trading-related data workflows. Support and maintain legacy trading applications during the transition to the new platform. Participate in cloud migration efforts and contribute to AWS-based solution design. Operate with high autonomy on assigned tasks and contribute to engineering best practices in a collaborative Agile environment.
