Successful and forward-thinking broadcast media company has an immediate opening for a full-time Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis in their corporate office. Our client is in the process of completing a transformational acquisition that will bring over 200 additional radio stations and digital assets into the group. The position will have responsibility for setting up and developing the processes around Budgeting, Forecasting and development of performance analysis / management accounting for all business units. Reporting into the CFO, the successful candidate will work closely with the controller and have access to all levels of corporate and divisional management within the company.
Key Job Responsibilities Are
Coordinate annual Budget Process for all Business Units. Lead consolidation and combined narrative Assist in monthly/quarterly close process, provide operational variance analysis and summarize key takeaways for senior management Work closely with business unit leaders to understand operations, support financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement Develop monthly scorecard or other management dashboards to monitor performance across all KPIs Develop and maintain timely and reliable Forecast for all Business Units Maintain 3 statement model for use in scenario modelling for M&A and financing Review of bank reporting, leverage calculations etc as well as drafting of MD&A commentary. Develop best practices for analyzing the business, providing analytics to support long-term strategic initiatives Provide, timely, actionable analysis on an ad hoc basis to support business initiatives Manage and develop the FP&A analyst, assign responsibilities, set objectives, and ensure high-quality deliverables Assist in preparation of board presentations, investor materials and other external financial communications
Qualifications
Audit or Investment firm experience, minimum 5 years Experience in developing and maintaining complex financial models to support business decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with all levels Strong analytical skills and problem solving; ability to research problems and drive resolutions Strong business acumen with ability to proactively recognize potential issues and opportunities Experience in digital or media business beneficial
