As part of our team, you will get to: Develop and lead OSA's data and analytics strategy to support the agency's mission of government accountability Designs and oversees OSA's data governance program, including metadata management, data stewardship, classification, and quality assurance Directs the development and implementation of analytics products, including dashboards, statistical models, and generative AI tools used in audits Serves as a liaison with state agencies, national peer networks, vendors, and technology partners Represents OSA in state-level data governance groups and audit modernization initiatives

to learn more Knowledge of data governance frameworks that meet industry standards Strong ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership, auditors, legislators, and the public Ability to embed advanced analytics and AI into audit planning, testing, and reporting to increase efficiency and impact Talent for building high-performing teams, mentoring staff, and promoting professional growth in data and analytics roles A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related IT field, business administration, project management, or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and seven years of progressive information technology experience including three years of managerial experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience. The Office of the State Auditor uses the Merit-Based Recruitment & Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act (SHRA) with highly qualified individuals. In order to receive credit for work history and credential you must complete the online application completely. Any information omitted from the application cannot be considered for qualifying credit. You can attach resumes, cover letters, reference information as supplemental information, but this will NOT be used in lieu of a completed state application. If you have earned a foreign degree, an official evaluation for United States equivalency is required and must be submitted to Human Resources for verification purposes.
