I. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Join our "track" record of success! We're seeking a Project Engineer for opportunities in New Jersey and across New York City. Recognized as a top construction workplace by Fortune Magazine, we prioritize our employees' growth and success.
As a premier track and transit system contractor in New York, we also excel in heavy civil and Design-Build construction markets, with projects in government, civil, vertical transportation, flood mitigation, and architectural sectors.
Help us lay the foundation for the future by joining the J-Track family. The Project Engineer provides technical support for heavy civil and transportation projects, working closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure project success.
II. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
30-hour OSHA certification preferred
III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with Field Engineers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and crews.
Supervise Field Engineers.
Review contract documents and assist in developing project work plans.
Oversee field work, monitor progress, and manage material deliveries.
Manage subcontractor and material contracts.
Assist in scheduling and coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
Participate in cost control and monthly forecasting.
Prepare monthly pay estimates and handle change orders and RFIs.
IV. QUALIFICATIONS
Heavy Civil Construction experience with 5+ years in the field
MTA experience preferred
Strong organizational and teamwork skills
Safety-conscious mindset
Salary Range: $95,000—$160,000 USD
