Job Description:
As a Subrogation Representative, you will play a pivotal role in our claims recovery process. You will be responsible for investigating, pursuing, and recovering funds from third parties liable for damages paid by our company. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of subrogation principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate and analyze claims to determine potential for subrogation recovery. Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities by gathering relevant information and evidence. Communicate effectively with insured parties, claimants, attorneys, and other involved parties to facilitate the recovery process. Prepare and file subrogation demands, negotiate settlements, and manage litigation processes when necessary. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of subrogation activities and recoveries. Collaborate with internal teams, including claims adjusters and legal counsel, to ensure efficient and effective recovery efforts. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to subrogation. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience of 5 years or more in the insurance industry handling claims, collections, or other comparable investigative work. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail. Strong knowledge of subrogation principles, practices, and legal processes, a plus.
