Summary: Seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to design, implement, and maintain complex database environments across multiple platforms. This role focuses on creating and managing highly available, scalable database solutions while ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Top Skills/Experience: SQL Server Azure Power BI SSRS Key Responsibilities: Design and implement robust database architectures that support high availability, disaster recovery, and scalable performance across multiple database platforms including MSSQL, Snowflake, and SQLite. Lead the development and maintenance of database clusters, implementing load balancing strategies and monitoring system health. Architect and deploy cloud-native database solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Establish and maintain backup strategies, recovery procedures, and security protocols for all database systems. Optimize database performance through monitoring, tuning, and proactive maintenance. Develop and implement automation solutions for routine database administration tasks. Provide technical leadership in database architecture decisions and mentor junior team members. Manage database migrations, upgrades, and patch implementations with minimal service disruption. Create and maintain documentation for database procedures, configurations, and disaster recovery plans. Required Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in database administration across multiple platforms. Deep expertise in relational databases, particularly MSSQL and Snowflake. Strong understanding of database clustering, replication, and high availability solutions. Proven experience with cloud-native database implementations (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with Big Data technologies and data warehousing solutions. Strong knowledge of database security best practices and compliance requirements. Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning. Experience with automated backup solutions and disaster recovery procedures. Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
