Clinical Manager - Oncology

Memorial Healthcare System Manages the daily operations of the assigned department, unit, or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. May provide direct care to patients. Responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, assisting with the identification, determination and need for systems, equipment and supplies, monitoring usage, overseeing proper working order of equipment and ensuring adequate supplies. Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. May oversee scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagements. Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, documents and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Assesses the quality of patient care delivered. Evaluates needs of patients and families and provides patient and family centered care. Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution. Requires critical thinking skills, effective communications skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Requires two (2) years nursing experience. Education and certification requirements include Nursing from an accredited program, BLS American Heart E-Card, BLS Certification, Registered Nurse Compact License, and Registered Nurse License for the State of Florida. Additional department specific credentials may be required such as ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate for those administering chemotherapy, ACLS, PALS, and Fetal Monitoring certifications depending on the area of work. Physical requirements include frequent bending, stooping, climbing, keyboard entry, kneeling, lifting/carrying patients and non-patient items, pushing/pulling, reaching, repetitive movements, running, sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and exposure to various hazards such as biohazardous waste, biological hazards, blood and bodily fluids, communicable diseases, cytotoxic chemicals, hazardous chemicals, hazardous medication, needles/sharp objects, and wet or slippery surfaces.
