In Patient Coder

Position Summary: Under the general direction of the Director of HIM, the Coder IV is responsible for the daily operations of the coding area within the Revenue Integrity Department. This role serves as a resource for the coding team and coordinates activities to ensure service continuity. Experience and Education:
Minimum of seven years inpatient and outpatient coding experience in a hospital acute-care setting. Proficiency in ICD-10, ICD-9, and CPT-4 coding. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in health information technology/management required. RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS certification required or eligible to sit for these exams. Please disclose any criminal convictions, including misdemeanors or DUI/DWI. Such disclosures will not automatically disqualify you from employment. Seniority level
