Join our team at Maryland Oncology Hematology as an Accountant II ! We are seeking passionate professionals dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care. With over 15 locations across Maryland and DC, we offer a dynamic environment for growth and development.
Salary Range: $65,877 - $88,992 per year, dependent on experience, education, and responsibilities.
Scope: Under supervision, coordinate month-end close for oncology practices, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and the US Oncology Compliance Program.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining general ledger, preparing schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Processing monthly closes, ensuring accruals, and reviewing invoice coding.
- Collaborating with management to ensure compliance with MSAs and healthcare regulations.
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts, reviewing reporting packages, and providing oncology-specific financial reports.
- Supporting budgeting processes, maintaining fixed asset records, and ensuring confidentiality.
- Possibly supervising staff accountants or support staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-5 years of fiscal management experience, preferably in healthcare or oncology.
- Knowledge of healthcare accounting principles, oncology billing, and coding.
- Experience with EHR and practice management systems (e.g., OncoEMR, ARIA, Epic).
- CPA preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to work independently.
Physical Demands & Work Environment: Office setting, requiring manual dexterity, standing/sitting, and occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. Interaction with staff, patients, and the public.
Additional Details: This is a full-time, mid-senior level position within the Hospitals and Healthcare industry.
