Community Mobility and Wellness Program Manager
to lead two signature initiatives: the city-wide Enhanced Mobility Transportation Program and the Help Desk Program. This leadership role is responsible for advancing transportation access for older adults and people with disabilities city-wide, and creating holistic wellness and community engagement support for older adults and individuals with disabilities who live in designated partner residences (Help Desk Program). The Program Manager will champion efforts to reduce barriers, increase mobility options, and promote wellness through educational activities, transportation counseling, and collaborative partnerships with transportation providers, DC Village leaders, and other service organizations. The Help Desk Program extends CHV’s reach by providing on-site support and programming to residents of subsidized senior buildings, addressing a range of needs including food access, transportation, public benefits, and technology support. The Program Manager will cultivate volunteerism, foster community connections, and ensure programming is responsive to residents’ interests and needs. There are currently three fully active Help Desk sites, with the potential for expansion. Key Responsibilities Enhanced Mobility Transportation Program · Program Oversight:
Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of CHV’s Enhanced Mobility Transportation Program, ensuring it meets the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities. · Partner Communication:
Maintain monthly tracking and communications with program partners to ensure alignment and progress. · Grant Management:
Monitor grant initiatives, identify potential challenges, and provide timely support to partners based on grant deliverables and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs). · Reporting:
Prepare and submit quarterly and final program updates to funders, including narratives on progress, milestones achieved, and recommendations for next steps. · Training Coordination:
Develop and coordinate training modules (virtual, digital, and in-person) for transportation providers and subgrantees to ensure comprehensive and effective learning experiences. · Resource Development:
Create and maintain replicable educational resources, including guides, videos, and other materials, to support consistent program delivery. · Budget Oversight:
Oversee budget disbursements in accordance with successful completion of grant deliverables. · Cross-Program Coordination:
Facilitate coordination between the Transportation and other CHV programs to maximize impact Help Desk Program · Site Management:
Manage Help Desk schedules, programming, and initiatives; provide on-site support as needed. · Staff Supervision:
Supervise Help Desk staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. · Program Development:
Collaborate with residents to design and implement culturally relevant health and resource-focused programs. · Cross-Program Coordination:
Facilitate coordination between the Help Desk and other CHV programs to maximize impact. · Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with building management and other site partners to ensure smooth program operations. · Data & Evaluation:
Monitor data collection activities, working with the Evaluation Consultant to ensure data integrity and inform program improvements. · Standardization & Expansion:
Help develop and maintain standardized procedures and protocols to support program expansion and replication. General Leadership & Community Engagement · Volunteer Cultivation:
Participate in recruitment, training, and engagement of volunteers to support program initiatives and foster a culture of volunteerism. · Community Building:
Promote social connections, reduce isolation, and enhance self-efficacy among building residents and training participants through targeted programming. · Partnership Development:
Build and strengthen partnerships with local organizations, agencies, and service providers to expand resources and opportunities and meet goals of both programs. · Equity & Inclusion:
Ensure all programs and services are delivered with a commitment to equity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness. · Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for program innovation and improvement, incorporating feedback from participants, staff, and partners. · Other activities as assigned:

Degree in public health, social work, gerontology, non-profit management, or a related field, OR 5-8 years of relevant work experience with increasing levels of responsibility. · Grant Management:
Experience managing federal and/or municipal grants, including developing workplans, monitoring budgets, and producing reports. · Cultural Competence:
Experience with and willingness to engage in critical thinking about race, privilege, and equity in an organization that celebrates diversity in culture, race, and gender. · Staff Supervision:
Experience supervising and motivating staff, with a collaborative leadership style. · Interest in Aging:
Demonstrated interest in working with older adults, including BiPOC older adults. · Skills:
Strong planning, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. · Technical Proficiency:
Competency with Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new software tools. · Collaboration:
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently to achieve goals. · Communication:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; customer-service orientation. · Adaptability:
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with limited supervision and remain calm under pressure. · Partnership Building:

Salary and Benefits: The Program Manager position comes with a salary range of $70k-$80k. Generous benefits include paid time off; retirement plan with employer contribution; and health, vision, dental and disability insurance.
