Work involves significant project management, coordination of human and technical resources, synthesis of operational systems, and evaluation and recommendation of work to be performed following agency policies and procedures to support the agency's mission. Work is characterized by the responsibility for the work of others and by the ability to make independent decisions within established guidelines that align department goals with agency goals. Essential Functions Perform all functions of System Analyst III. * Demonstrates initiative in forecasting and designing new services to meet changing regional needs. Determine the viability of new regional projects to meet changing regional needs. Assist supervisor with designing and implementing regional projects, determining project prerequisites, overseeing milestone attainment, and coordinating resources. Design, implement, and monitor regional service delivery to maximize availability, ensure integrity, and protect against intrusion. Provide support for Systems Analyst III. Other duties as assigned. Evaluate, recommend, design, and implement computer imaging, software deployment, mobile device, and other management solutions. Evaluate, recommend, design, and implement backup systems, data center redundancy, and disaster recovery systems. Evaluate, recommend, design, and implement directory service solutions, including single sign-on. While working collaboratively with others, be capable of working independently for extended periods of time without direct supervision to research, plan, create, and implement solutions that align with the vision of the department and agency. Effectively manage complex projects by determining project prerequisites, establishing security specifications, setting milestones, managing timelines, and identifying required human and technical resources. Duties of System Analyst II include: Perform all functions of System Analyst I. *** Install, manage, and support servers, networks, collaboration systems, network management, and information services, including: virtual infrastructure and storage systems; directory, mail, file, and web servers; VoIP; cloud services such as LMS and VLE; and student information systems. Install, manage, and support computer imaging, software deployment, mobile device, and other management solutions. Install, maintain, and support backup systems, data center redundancy, and disaster recovery systems. Install, maintain, and support directory service solutions, including single sign-on. Provide consultations with service area clients. Install and manage directory services solutions, including single sign-on. Gather and interpret stakeholder input to determine project priorities. Develop innovative solutions to meet stated needs. While working collaboratively with others, make independent decisions within established policies and procedures. Perform backups and restorations of data, and assist with installation, maintenance and support for backup systems, data center redundancy, and disaster recovery systems. Assist with installation, maintenance, and support of directory service solutions, including single sign-on. Assist with research, planning, evaluation, recommendation, design and implementation of solutions that align with the vision of the department and mission of the agency, including: servers, networks, collaboration and information services; virtual infrastructure, and storage systems; directory, mail, file, and web servers; VoIP; cloud services such as LMS and VLE; and student information systems; disaster recovery systems; and planning for network and data center continuity. Assist with the support of networks and network technologies. Assist with consultations with service area clients. Assist with gathering and interpreting stakeholder input to determine project priorities. Assist with maintaining, implementing, and monitoring regional services to ensure availability, integrity, and protect against intrusion Install, maintain, and support end-user hardware and software, including: computers, mobile devices, and peripherals. Assist staff in the effective use of software, hardware, and information services. Maintain inventory of hardware, peripherals, and software licenses. Assist with programming and database maintenance. Provide impeccable customer service. Use professional communication and conduct. Participate collaboratively as an effective team member within and between departments and other organizations. Establish and maintain high-trust regional relationships. Performance at the level of Systems Analyst III for at least one year. Demonstrated capabilities of Senior System Analyst. Minimum Prerequisites Of Systems Analyst III Include Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or an applicable field. Performance of System Analyst II for at least one year. Demonstrated capabilities of System Analyst III. Minimum Prerequisites Of Systems Analyst II Include Industry certification, such as from Microsoft or VMware. Associate degree in Computer Science or applicable field. Performance at the level of Systems Analyst I for at least one year. Demonstrated capabilities of System Analyst II. Minimum Prerequisites Of Systems Analyst I Include A+ and Network + Certification. High School diploma or equivalent. Valid Oregon Driver's License. Professional communication & conduct, and maintenance of high-trust relationships. Experience installing and maintaining computers, servers, and data systems. The equivalent combination of experience, training, certification, education, or degree that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be used as an alternative to prerequisites.
