We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to support Linux operating systems on embedded microprocessors within FPGA SoC environments. Responsibilities
Design, develop, document, debug, and test Linux-based embedded software for FPGA SoC systems, including:
Embedded Linux: Kernel / Yocto / U-Boot / DeviceTree Board Support Packages (BSP) Userspace Drivers for FPGA IP (C++) Firmware for Embedded Microcontrollers (C)
Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure project success. Qualifications
Strong experience in embedded software development with FPGA/ASIC SoC design Proficiency with FPGA implementation tools such as Altera Quartus or Xilinx Vivado Experience designing and debugging SoC systems with AMBA-compliant AXI and APB interfaces Experience implementing Gigabit Transceiver Protocols like PCI Express, Interlaken, USB SuperSpeed Knowledge of network protocols including Ethernet standards (IEEE 802.3), IPv4, IPv6, ARP, ICMP, IGMP, UDP, TCP Proficiency in C, C++, and GIT version control Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) Experience supporting multi-disciplinary, cross-functional, and matrixed teams Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of digital IF streams such as VITA 49.2, DIFI, and eCPRi Experience with SATCOM waveforms like DVB-S2X and 5G NTN 3GPP Rel 17/18 Understanding of communication networks and security in zero-trust environments Experience with Partial Reconfiguration/DFX or PCIe CvP Active DoD clearance or willingness to obtain one Education & Experience
