The Configuration Manager will adhere to government and industry policies by developing, implementing, managing, and sustaining configuration management (CM) plans and activities for all phases of development as it pertains to the maintenance of programs. This includes but is not limited to: Leading configuration team in development, upgrades, and maintenance of CM database to ensure data quality, integrity, and security in the CM database Scheduling regular audits on CM database and assist in implementing audit recommendations Analyzing configuration issues and develop appropriate resolutions and action items Executing SME CM model based product support Configuration and Technical Data Management (CTDM) deliverables for shipboard/shore installation support Developing hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures and ensuring that they are followed on hardware and software development projects Supporting the Program Manager by delivering effective and efficient solutions by meeting key project milestones and ensuring project configuration deliverables are on time and adhere to both GOVT and CTR standards Producing, analyzing, maintaining status accounting records to ensure that current and historical configuration of system/products can be accurately determined throughout the product life cycle Producing reports indicating status of configuration items and communicate status to management Working with automated CM solutions to maintain development and production environments Developing CM process guidance to the group in addressing various customer requirements for status reporting Creating & maintaining configuration item control procedures Ensuring compliance with all configuration management processes, policies, and procedures Filling this position is contingent upon funding Requirements: This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline Candidates must be able to obtain Secret clearance Experience using automated CM solutions with the Navy 3-5 years of configuration management experience Ability to develop and track functional and physical configuration audits post systems engineering testing for baseline validation Knowledge and proficiency with some form of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools and electronic workflows Skill in applying the principles of quantitative and qualitative data collection on complex topics through research, analysis, and use of multiple information sources Ability to present clear and concise findings for senior leadership review and decisions Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings cross-decked to Bill of Materials for change documents Desired Skills: Experience in procurement Experience in formal training Experience with inventory and inventory management Experience with CM Processes of the CMMI Experience with MRP or ERP process or applications Experience with supply chain support of rapidly changing manufacturing or installation environment Ability to work under pressure while meeting both inflexible and shifting deadlines Clearance Information: SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL Travel Requirements: No Travel Required About Us: Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
