Controller
to lead all financial operations for its growing $50M construction business. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting into the executive team, offering significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence both strategic and day-to-day financial decisions. The Company: With more than 70 years of service to its community, this Florida-based construction company has built a reputation for excellence, integrity, and impact. What You’ll Do: Manage all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll, GL, and reconciliations Lead month-end and year-end closings; maintain accuracy in job costing and WIP reporting Oversee financial reporting, audit prep, and compliance with GAAP and tax regulations Analyze cash flow, budgets, and forecasts to guide executive decision-making Supervise and mentor a small finance team; implement KPIs and continuous improvements Lead ERP optimization and training (experience with Jonas or similar construction software preferred) Partner with project managers to support budgeting, change orders, and performance metrics What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a construction or project-based environment Expertise in GAAP, job cost accounting, and financial controls Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Jonas Construction ideal) Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities A values-driven mindset with a passion for accuracy, accountability, and community impact Why Join?
