Job Description
General Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of a facilities, materials, environmental, or geotechnical engineering project to ensure safe, timely, and within-budget completion.
- Monitor progress, troubleshoot operational issues, and recommend solutions to minimize delays.
- Handle resource management, project scheduling, budgets, forecasts, and coordinate with external vendors, subcontractors, or contractors.
- Conduct meetings, prepare reports, and communicate project status to team and clients.
- Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate staff to meet targets and milestones.
- Communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction and coordinate with APR for engagement at critical project junctures.
- Oversee invoice approval, change orders, and collections.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage small to medium-sized projects from scope definition to completion.
- Define project scope, schedule, and budget in collaboration with clients or NAM.
- Develop and implement detailed project plans.
- Lead safety efforts, including safety plan preparation and compliance.
- Resolve operational issues promptly to minimize delays.
- Identify and mobilize resources, including calculations, designs, reports, work specifications, materials, and personnel.
- Partner with other departments to secure specialized resources.
- Lead project meetings, prepare status reports, and communicate effectively.
- Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate team efforts to meet milestones.
- Coordinate with APR for oversight and review processes at critical points.
- Work with accounting on financial management, invoicing, and collections.
- Understand project risks and ensure compliance with company risk policies.
- Promote safety, model safe work practices, and foster a safe environment.
- Monitor and improve project quality standards, engaging APRs early in projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field, with at least 5 years' related experience; or 9 years' related experience without a degree.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or similar relevant certification.
The expected salary range is $82,400 to $127,700, adjustable based on location, qualifications, and experience.
