3-year CTDOT infrastructure project based in Stamford, CT . This is a full-time, on-site leadership role that reports directly to upper management and is responsible for enforcing quality standards, coordinating inspections, managing QC documentation, and ensuring subcontractor and supplier compliance throughout the life of the project. Key Responsibilities Develop and submit a project-specific Quality Control (QC) Program prior to Notice to Proceed. Oversee implementation of the QC Program, ensuring it is maintained, amended, and fully documented as the project evolves. Supervise and manage additional QC personnel during simultaneous critical operations. Conduct and document inspections, materials testing, and hold-point verifications. Lead efforts to resolve non-conformances and revise the QC Program to prevent recurrence. Coordinate with subcontractors, fabricators, and suppliers to ensure full compliance with quality expectations and documentation. Submit daily and monthly QC reports and maintain accurate records for internal and regulatory audits. Prepare, coordinate and lead weekly or bi-weekly QA/QC meetings with project engineers and stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Minimum 8 years of experience in any combination of the following:
Field inspection Construction/Construction Management relevant to Facilities and/or Railroad Quality Control professional.
Certification as NETTCP Quality Assurance Technologist (or equivalent). Two letters of reference from previous clients verifying performance and expertise. Proven leadership with authority to issue stop-work orders. Familiarity with DOT specifications and critical construction categories (e.g., building renovations, concrete, steel, electrical, earthwork, environmental compliance). ACI testing certifications and CWI are preferred Critical Work Categories Covered Building Renovations, Earthwork, HMA, Drainage, Geotechnical, Structural Elements, Utilities, Rail, Environmental, and more.
