Now Hiring : Principal OT Engineer | Huntsville, AL
We're looking for a Principal OT Engineer to join a high-impact team onsite in Huntsville, Alabama-someone ready to lead, mentor, and contribute to national-level efforts in Operational Technology cybersecurity.
Location :
On-site up to 5 days / week - relocation assistance available)
Salary Range :
180,000 - $300,000 Targeting ~$215,000 based on experience) Why This Role Matters : You'll manage one of the most advanced privately-owned OT cyber labs in the country, lead cutting-edge R&D, mentor junior staff, and represent critical infrastructure initiatives across the Department of Defense and partner nations. Key Responsibilities : Perform OT cyber testing, assessments, threat hunting, and vulnerability analysis Develop and deliver OT cyber technical demos and presentations Lead training engagements with U.S. and allied nations on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Participate in national and international OT cyber policy and standards development (ISA / IEC 62443 knowledge a plus) Drive OT cyber R&D and collaborate with federal and state government entities Lead and mentor engineering teams in a hands-on OT lab environment Must-Have Qualifications : Active Top Secret Security Clearance 12+ years of hands-on experience in industrial control environments (manufacturing, energy, water, oil / gas, etc.) Proven experience with equipment maintenance, PLC programming, and system architecture Strong leadership and communication skills-comfortable presenting to high-level stakeholders OT expertise (preferred over cyber knowledge, though both are ideal) Nice to Have : DoD or federal agency experience Previous titles like Controls Engineer, Plant Controls Engineer, or Lead Controls Engineer Desire and ability to lead technical teams This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on national security and infrastructure.
