Job Description:
We have an immediate opening at the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) for an Enterprise Architect & Data Management Technical Lead. ETF is a state agency recognized for providing public employee benefit systems. This position focuses on technical leadership in developing a data warehouse, data management techniques, tool implementation, and reporting and analytics. It also involves leadership in MDM, data quality, and metadata management.
Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Provide technical leadership and mentorship on technologies and tools.
Lead data management projects as a project manager.
Gather, understand, document user requirements, create specifications, design solutions, develop, test, and implement high-quality deliverables.
Design dashboards, manage full lifecycle, apply best practices including visual design principles.
Establish design and use patterns for technologies.
Develop technical reference models and ensure effective architecture implementation.
Experience with ETL tools like Alteryx and related processes.
Experience with SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS, and related tools.
Use source code management tools such as SVN or git.
Relational and dimensional data modeling experience.
Proficiency in complex SQL.
Experience with analytical tools like R, Python, SAS.
Standards for reports/dashboards/analytics for production.
Leadership in operational activities, production support, and software upgrades.
Experience with MDM programs and solutions.
Involvement in governance, data usage, metadata, and security.
Familiarity with metadata management, automated regression testing, containerization, advanced analytics.
Knowledge of Tableau Server infrastructure, publishing, administration, and dashboard management.
Experience with Tableau development (10.5+), usability.
Agile practices, especially Scrum.
Data mining and machine learning techniques.
Cloud platforms for data warehousing and analytics.
Interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence and interact at all levels.
Ability to work with cross-functional groups and organizational layers.
Mentoring, coaching, collaboration, team building skills.
Presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
