The Enterprise Architect sets the strategic architectural vision for Cvent’s technology platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving enterprise-wide technology transformation. This role provides technical leadership across multiple domains, influences cross-functional teams, and guides the adoption of modern frameworks, tools, and best practices. The Enterprise Architect collaborates with executive leadership, product, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
In This Role, You Will
- Define and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and business objectives.
- Lead the design and implementation of large-scale, distributed, and cloud-native systems, setting standards for scalability, reliability, and security.
- Provide architectural oversight and technical guidance for modernization initiatives, including migration to frameworks like .NET Core, decoupling legacy systems, and adopting central package management.
- Drive cross-team collaboration to resolve enterprise-level technical challenges, such as performance optimization, technical debt reduction, and risk mitigation.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and methodologies, ensuring Cvent remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Oversee the development and enforcement of architectural standards, patterns, and best practices across engineering teams.
- Serve as a key stakeholder in enterprise risk management, including security, compliance (e.g., PCI), and business continuity planning.
- Mentor and develop senior technical leaders, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Lead or participate in enterprise-wide initiatives such as performance testing, system modernization, and strategic project reviews.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on large-scale, distributed systems.
- 10+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale technology initiatives.
- Deep expertise in modern software development frameworks and languages (e.g., .NET Core, Java, Node.js, Python, C#).
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront), serverless architectures, and performance optimization.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch).
- Experience with open-source technologies, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, automated testing, deployment).
- Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and risk management in large-scale environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience mentoring and developing senior technical talent.
- Experience leading architecture for SaaS platforms or large-scale web applications.
- Familiarity with secure asset management, content delivery solutions (e.g., Okta integration), and highly regulated environments.
- Track record of successful enterprise transformation projects.
- Staying current with AI advancements through self-driven learning.
