Nocturnist
position, working exclusively overnight shifts. Local Team Collaboration:
St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is a 440-bed acute care facility and Level IV trauma center, offering services including women’s health, heart and vascular, neurology, neurosurgery, and kidney transplant. About 1/3 of all Austin deliveries occur here. The APP team averages 1-2 admissions per night plus procedures, responding to codes alongside ER physicians, without rapid response participation. We maintain excellent rapport with hospitalists, ER teams, and specialists. Qualifications:
Graduate degree from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. Active or eligible Texas Nurse Practitioner license. Proficiency in ICU procedures (arterial and central lines). At least 2 years ICU experience within ACNP-BC scope. Schedule:
Flexible block schedule to meet team needs. Key Responsibilities:
Providing ICU patient care, admitting patients, and performing procedures. Living and Working in Austin:
