Director, Architecture - Justice . This position can be a remote role or reside in one of our Baltimore, Akron, Columbus, Pensacola or Jacksonville offices.

Position Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated licensed architect specializing in the justice market to lead our Justice team. This role offers growth opportunities in the AE Justice area, focusing on business development, design, and project management leadership.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve growth and new project awards.
Formulate client strategies and implement tactics to identify opportunities and increase project revenue in the Justice sector.
Engage with the Justice group on master planning, programming, studies, design, workshops, and knowledge sharing, including standards and regulations.
Collaborate with PRIME AE’s divisions and external partners.
Conduct on-site observations during construction for compliance and marketing purposes.
Prepare proposals, presentations, and reports as needed.
Utilize design software, particularly Revit, for project documentation.
Lead activities from conceptual design through project closeout.
Build relationships with clients to support business development.
Coordinate with leadership to allocate resources and expand the Justice portfolio.
Monitor industry trends and public policy affecting justice clients.
Develop partnerships and strategic alliances.
Oversee project schedules, compliance, and financials.
Report on business development efforts and metrics.
Research market data to position the company effectively within the Justice sector.
Assist in proposal and presentation development, including attending sector conferences.
Minimum Requirements:
Professional Architecture Degree from an accredited school.
Registered Architect (preferably in Maryland, Ohio, Florida, or with NCARB certification for reciprocity).
15 years’ experience in justice market design and project management.
Experience in all project phases from master planning to construction documentation.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Experience coordinating multiple design disciplines.
Proficiency in Revit preferred.
Solid knowledge of building codes, standards, and justice-specific guidelines such as ACA, NIC, and NCCHC.
Willingness to travel.
Excellent analytical skills.
