Cybersecurity Infrastructure and Operations Manager
to contribute to our mission-driven team. This role supports critical IT services for the Air Force National Capital Region program. Join a dynamic team that provides comprehensive IT support for esteemed agencies including Headquarters Air Force (HAF) and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, ensuring the integrity of operations across key military locations and sites. Position Summary: As a Manager of Cybersecurity Operations, you'll oversee essential cybersecurity functions, including TEMPEST inspections, cybersecurity tools management, and user compliance services. Lead a dedicated team responsible for safeguarding enterprise systems, enforcing DoD cyber standards, and delivering exceptional customer service across our cybersecurity help desk. Primary Responsibilities: Manage the daily operations of three core teams: TEMPEST Inspection Team:
Plan and coordinate equipment inspections to ensure compliance with EMSEC requirements.
Cybersecurity Tools Team:
Oversee configuration and policy development for cybersecurity tools like Forescout to ensure alignment with DoD standards.
Customer Support Queue:
Manage ticket processing for compliance reviews and cyber requests.
Interface effectively with the enterprise CSSP, ISSOs, and Engineering teams for seamless operations.
Monitor tool health and policy enforcement; provide operational metrics and support audit readiness.
Develop and mentor staff, ensuring team goals align with organization objectives.
Identify and implement workflow improvements through automation and updated policies.
Foster a supportive and growth-oriented environment for team members.
Handle staffing and performance issues, promoting a collaborative team spirit.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Current DoD Secret clearance or higher. 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with at least 2 years in a leadership position. Familiarity with TEMPEST inspection principles and EMSEC requirements. Experience with cybersecurity enforcement tools, especially Forescout. Strong knowledge of DoD cyber service request workflows, particularly 8140 and DLP waivers. Excellent communication skills for interfacing across diverse environments. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting Air Force or other DoD mission environments. Working knowledge of AFMAN 17-130 and Comply-to-Connect. Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or TEMPEST-specific credentials. Experience with Forescout eyeSight/eyeControl and automated enforcement systems. This role is integral to our commitment to mission success.
