Product Owner
with a strong background in
data engineering
and systems analysis to lead the delivery of data-focused products in partnership with our Product Area Leader. This role will be responsible for managing the product backlog, working closely with technical and development teams, and ensuring alignment with business goals in the financial domain. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience from a data or system analyst role and a deep understanding of ETL, data lakes, and data warehouses. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Product Area Leader
to define product vision, roadmap, and strategy. Own and manage the
product backlog , including grooming, prioritization, and user story refinement. Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and technical features for engineering teams. Work closely with
data engineers, architects, and developers
to deliver scalable data solutions (ETL pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses). Partner with stakeholders to gather short-term business analysis requirements and ensure timely delivery. Leverage prior experience as a
Data Analyst or System Analyst
to bridge the gap between business and technical needs. Ensure technical feasibility of features and alignment with architecture standards. Drive agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos) and ensure the team delivers high-impact features. Monitor and report on progress, risks, and dependencies related to data products. Maintain strong domain understanding of financial systems and data flows. Required Qualifications: 10+ years of experience as a
Product Owner
in data-centric environments. Prior experience as a
Data Analyst
or
System Analyst
supporting engineering or data teams. Strong understanding of
ETL processes ,
data warehouses (DW) , and
data lake architectures . Familiarity with tools and technologies such as
Snowflake, Oracle, SQL, AWS, or similar platforms . Experience working in
Agile/Scrum
environments with cross-functional development teams. Proven ability to manage and prioritize backlogs, refine user stories, and lead delivery-focused iterations. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in the
financial domain
or supporting finance-related data products. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with financial data (e.g., general ledger, P&L, forecasting, budgeting). Exposure to data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks. Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and agile tracking tools.
