We are seeking a visionary and experienced Principal Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of end-to-end data solutions in AWS. This role is instrumental in driving our digital transformation, supporting our ambitious growth goals, and delivering exceptional digital experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define and execute a modern, scalable, and secure data architecture strategy. Responsibilities include leading architectural initiatives, collaborating with product and engineering teams, developing architecture roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, delivering scalable and secure solutions, designing cloud-native data solutions, driving cloud data strategies, architecting event streaming and serverless solutions, leading legacy system modernization and migration to AWS platforms, implementing ad-hoc analytics, contributing to enterprise architecture governance, translating technical concepts for senior leadership, developing metrics and scorecards, and ensuring solutions meet performance, security, and scalability requirements. Requirements include 8+ years in data architecture, 5+ years with SQL, NoSQL, GraphDB, APIs, Kafka, and streaming technologies, 3+ years in application development or related fields, proven AWS-native data solutions experience, strong domain-driven design and cloud migration skills, expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization, and excellent communication and leadership skills. Preferences include AWS certifications, financial services experience, familiarity with Agile methodologies, and exposure to data governance and lifecycle practices. Seniority level
