Overview
As a Microsoft Data Center Program Manager (DCPM), you will perform troubleshooting for service incidents, manage assigned projects to meet service delivery objectives, and escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders to remove obstacles. You will also follow safety policies and procedures and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) of incidents. This role allows you to build a solid understanding of data center procedures, collaborate across various teams, and provide mentorship by sharing best practices.
Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine powering our cloud services. As a CO+I DCPM, you will play a key role in delivering the core infrastructure for Microsoft's online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Azure. Responsibilities
Demonstrate conscientiousness regarding costs, adhere to budget requirements, and contribute to maintaining reasonable expenses.
Follow and enforce safety and security policies; report issues immediately.
Troubleshoot service incidents, escalate as needed to meet SLA/OLAs with minimal disruption.
Assess potential customer impacts of events, communicate effectively, and plan accordingly.
Review schedules proactively to avoid conflicts and coordinate maintenance activities.
Manage client and supplier relationships to clarify and meet expectations.
Suggest risk-reduction strategies for maintenance activities and accommodate scheduling needs.
Ensure end-to-end service quality, safety, security, and customer experience, supporting escalation processes.
