Job Summary: Allianz Life is a trusted insurance and asset management company seeking an AI & Analytics Platform Architect to lead their AI and analytics capabilities on the Azure platform. This role involves designing, building, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure while collaborating with various teams to deliver a robust platform that drives innovation and business value. Responsibilities: • Define and evolve the architectural vision for the AI & Analytics platform on Azure, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy and business goals • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-native solutions • Own the platform roadmap, including service selection, integration patterns, and environment management • Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of platform components including data pipelines, model hosting environments, and monitoring frameworks • Manage the platform’s development and test environments, including data provisioning, masking, and access controls • Ensure high availability, performance, and observability of platform services through proactive monitoring and incident response • Partner with IT, data science, and analytics engineering teams to support end-to-end solution delivery • Provide architectural oversight and guidance across the SDLC, including CI/CD, release management, and environment promotion • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate production support activities with internal and external stakeholders • Evaluate emerging Azure services and AI/ML capabilities to drive innovation and continuous improvement • Contribute to platform governance, including data ethics, compliance, and security best practices • Mentor technical teams and promote architectural standards and reusable patterns • Utilize artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI) Qualifications: Required: • 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering or architecture with at least 2+ years working on Azure • Expertise in Azure services such as Azure Machine Learning, AI Foundry, Data Factory, Synapse, Key Vault, and Monitor • Experience with MLOps, DevOps, and SDLC practices in a regulated enterprise environment • Understanding of the infrastructure required to run LLM and other GenAI-based AI Applications as well as traditional ML Ops & data pipelines • Experience managing multi-environment platforms (dev/test/prod) and supporting AI/analytics workloads • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc).
