Job Description Role Summary AECOM has a strong portfolio of growth projects in the areas of High-Speed Rail, Rail, Metros and Light Rail across the globe. We are seeking a candidate with strong expertise in leading the delivery of multi-disciplinary design and technical services into major rail projects and programs to help realize our key strategic objectives. This role will be
“hands on” , coordinating multi-disciplinary design and technical services teams to successfully deliver solutions for complex major rail projects across the globe to successfully meet client and company outcomes. The candidate will be an effective technical coordinator with tenacity and drive who can expedite delivery of high quality, efficient solutions to program and cost. Reporting to AECOM’s Global Transit Major Projects and High Speed Director, this person will provide leadership and support to AECOM Regional Business teams for both
pursuit
of and
delivery
of major rail/transit programs/projects to drive growth in target markets and delivery. Key Responsibilities: Growth Identify and support pursuit activities in target markets such as Europe (UK/Nordics), North America (USA/Canada), ANZ. Support regional pursuit teams with client engagement, development of win strategies, and team strategy and engagement with key partners. Contribute to regional and global pursuits using AECOM’s capabilities. Project Delivery Support delivery of priority projects through client engagement, technical delivery strategies, and global expertise sharing. Support recruitment and engagement of supply chain/sub-consultants. Take on key technical/engineering management roles for high priority rail projects. Coordinate and expedite technical design during development and construction phases. Ensure health and safety standards and design quality are maintained. Contribute to resource planning, progress reporting, and technical scope management. Qualifications Significant experience in designing and delivering complex infrastructure, especially major rail programs. Ability to coordinate across geographies and within matrix organizations. Strong stakeholder engagement skills. Knowledge of best practices and regulations in the UK and internationally. Understanding of all project lifecycle stages. Experience with different delivery models and stakeholder coordination. Minimum Requirements BA/BS in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural engineering and 12 years of relevant experience, including 4 years in leadership. Proven track record in major rail projects and team leadership. Understanding of delivery models in UK/Europe and internationally. Preferred Qualifications Membership of a Chartered Institution (e.g., MICE, MIStructE, MRICS). Professional engineering license and certifications (PMI-PgMP, APM-RPP, etc.) preferred. Additional Information Relocation is not offered; sponsorship for US employment is not available. Salary ranges from $162,000 to $300,000 depending on experience and location.
