Desktop Support Engineer Consultant - Boston, MA
Daley And Associates is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer Consultant to assist with our client's IT operations. This role offers hands-on experience with a strong emphasis on deploying Windows 11 across the organization, managing IT assets, and supporting endpoint infrastructure. This is a 7-month consulting engagement and it will be an on-site role 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with imaging of desktops and laptops using Windows 11. Ensure devices adhere to organizational standards and security protocols. Validate successful installations prior to deployment. Configure workspaces, including desks, docking stations, and peripherals. Physically deploy devices to end-user locations. Confirm hardware performance and network connectivity. Guide users through initial login and system setup. Support installation and configuration of approved applications. Troubleshoot basic issues with operating systems, software, and hardware. Maintain accurate records in asset tracking systems for deployed equipment.
Qualifications:
Experience in a similar role assembling and carrying PCs. Basic troubleshooting knowledge for PCs and printers. Ability to install and configure software applications. Familiarity with Windows 11. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Friendly, energetic, and dependable demeanor.
