***Hybrid, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote*** ***We are unable to sponsor as this is a permanent full-time role*** A prestigious company is looking for a Manager, Desktop Engineering. This role will lead & manage a team over risk/controls of Windows desktop operating systems, VDI desktop, VMware, O365, etc. Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of talented engineers by providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions Establish strategic direction for desktop engineering initiatives aligned with organizational goals Package application deployments for end-user computing solutions Management of profile data technologies Meet with Business, IT and Security Leaders to develop requirements and communicate changes to the environment Automate processes in the end-user experience space Lead, design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software Maintain and troubleshoot Office 365 environment Remove barriers and obstacles from end-user technology to enable the business Provide tactical and strategic input on the overall end-user experience Provide on-call support according to assigned schedule Document changes, policies, procedures and drawings Lead projects of various sizes and schedules Demonstrated vendor management experience, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, relationship management, and performance evaluation Supervise all direct reports and provide overall direction to the team Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years of experience in desktop engineering or end-user computing roles Minimum 2 years of experience in people management roles Experience deploying applications across enterprise desktop workstations using modern tools Experience with a scripting language Minimum of 3+ years of experience with VDI management solutions Minimum of 3+ years of experience with O365 Desktop Application Troubleshooting Experience operating in a DevOps culture Experience with delivering VDI environment leveraging VMware Horizon and instant clone desktops Seniority level
