Amentum is currently seeking a Cloud Ops/Platform Engineer as part of a team that delivers Cloud Development Tools to the entire enterprise. The team is fully cloud-based and focuses on automating all tasks utilizing a fully implemented CI/CD pipeline. This pipeline includes automated transfer of data/projects to multiple domains via a cross-domain solution. The team uses agile methodologies to plan projects and tasks, breaking them down into 2-week sprints. Comprising cloud engineers and developers, the team works closely together to complete projects. We seek engineers/developers eager to implement and learn cutting-edge cloud technologies and services to support our customer’s multiple national security missions. The team supports both AWS and Azure Cloud environments. The Cloud Ops/Platform Engineer will focus on administering, maintaining, upgrading, and supporting enterprise-wide developer services. This position is hybrid, requiring two days onsite at our customer’s location in the District of Columbia, with three days remote work. Additional onsite days may be required based on mission needs. Here’s What You’ll Need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline Minimum 5 years of work experience At least 3 years of experience in development and deployment activities on a private/public cloud solution or similar high availability environment An Associate-level DEVOPS certification is acceptable with 3 years of cloud development experience Experience in Splunk Administration in a distributed environment Experience with AWS EC2, Lambda, SQS, and SNS services Experience with Azure Event Hubs and Function Apps Experience with DevOps practices Experience using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation and Terraform) Experience with GitLab or other Git-based platforms CI/CD experience with GitLab Runner, Jenkins, or similar tools Proficiency in Python Preferred: Experience with Docker containers Kubernetes experience (EKS or similar) Experience with Hashicorp Packer, Consul, or Vault Excellent oral and written communication skills Clearance Required: TS – SCI Eligible #J-18808-Ljbffr
