Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Athens is accepting applications for a full-time Associate Instructor of Medium Heavy Equipment at the PIE Center in Cleveland, TN. The position involves working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with a thirty-minute lunch each day. Required Qualifications
Minimum of Technical Diploma in instructional area or equivalent higher education with credentials in related field. A comparable combination of education and work experience may be considered. Minimum three (3) years of experience in the Diesel Mechanics field, preferably within the last five (5) years. Strong hands-on technical background in preventative maintenance, diesel engines, electrical/electronics, brakes, drive train, suspension and steering, and heating-ventilation and air-conditioning. Must have current ASE Certified Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician credential, along with ASE T1-T8 Certifications. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education. Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with students, colleges, industry, faculty, staff, and the public. Effective oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, audio/visual equipment, and software. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Passion for education and desire to help students achieve their goals. Willingness to stay current in the diesel mechanic profession and maintain certifications. Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks. Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team environment. Additional Information
