Seaport Entertainment is looking for a Server Assistant to be based in The Seaport. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Server Assistant will assist servers and attend to the guests of the restaurant by upholding the quality of food, beverage, and service. This position will assist with running food, clearing dishware, and setting up tables to ensure service runs smoothly. What You Will Do
Assist servers by clearing tables, setting tables, refilling beverages, and dishware, and attending to guest requests. Deliver a high-quality food and beverage dining experience to all guests. Ensure the area is well stocked and maintain the cleanliness of the workspace throughout the shift. Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service. Complete all assigned side work relevant to guest interactive service, in compliance with 80/20/30 rules. Provide attentive and quality service to all guests during their dining experience. Ensure consistent communication with staff members, management, and the kitchen during the service. Maintain dining ambiance with an enthusiastic and graceful attitude. Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business need. About You
1+ year Server Assistant experience in a fine dining, high volume setting and/or relevant, equivalent experience preferred. Ability to think quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively and eloquently, both verbal and written. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10
30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis). Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment. Climbing steps regularly. Compensation
The base pay range for this position is paid a minimum wage of $16.50 an hour and a tip credit is taken when applicable.
