Repsol Renewables North America is seeking an Analyst (Interconnection & Transmission) to join our dynamic and growing team. This position is responsible for assisting with the management of the Company's interconnection requests. This position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the preparation of interconnection documentation and support the administration of interconnection positions for projects in the portfolio Analyze transmission system data, interconnection study results, and grid constraints to inform project development and strategy. Develop and maintain tools and databases to track interconnection status, including deposit schedules, study timelines, milestone tracking, and key correspondence. Monitor interconnection queues and ensure timely execution of financial postings and other critical milestones to maintain project viability. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, development, and regulatory, to align interconnection strategies and provide technical insights. Participate in transmission, market, and resource planning processes and working groups across ISOs/RTOs. Improve data management and automation processes to enhance efficiency and organization. Support technical documentation and internal process development to drive consistency and accuracy. Assist with due diligence for project acquisitions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Ability to perform detailed technical analysis, synthesize results and automate repeatable processes Ability to communicate technical issues effectively to non-technical audiences and higher management Ability to review technical designs, reports, documentation, and market data to support project development efforts Ability to function in a team and demonstrate a strong motivation to succeed in a very fast paced environment Ability to obtain approval to access Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (CEII) Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (e.g., physics, math, engineering, computer science, data science) is required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with power systems concepts, transmission planning, or grid operations is a plus Previous internships with demonstrated experience in ISO/RTO economic modeling, energy market data analysis and/or powerflow analysis is preferred Experience with Excel and MS office Suite is required. Demonstrated competency in project management tools, modeling, statistical analysis, and/or optimization software is strongly desired, but not required
