This key role on our Institutional Advancement team will work closely with colleagues to align alumni relations strategies with institutional goals, establish initiatives like an Aquinas Ambassador program, and ensure alumni perspectives shape our decisions. The role involves organizing events, crafting engaging communications, and serving as liaison to alumni groups, including the Alumni Association Leadership Council. Responsibilities: • Work closely with colleagues and campus partners to align alumni, family, and community engagement programs with overall institutional goals and mission. • Develop new strategies to communicate with and engage the families and support networks of Aquinas College undergraduate students. • Lead the Aquinas Admissions Champions program to support enrollment goals. • Serve as a liaison for alumni and families of current students, ensuring their perspectives are consulted in planning and decision-making. • Collaborate with campus partners to enhance data collection and information sharing related to alumni and families of current students. • Recruit, train and support the Alumni Association Leadership Council and other affinity groups as necessary. • Plan and coordinate events such as reunions, homecomings, regional networking, fundraising, and stewardship events. • Engage current students in events and community building as they prepare to graduate and become alumni. • Partner with marketing to write and create frequent and informative communications, including newsletters, and social media content. • Work closely with the Advantage Center to manage and maintain mentorship programs and other post-graduate career services. • Generate leads for fundraising portfolios by identifying alumni and community members who have affinity and propensity to give. • Serve as a liaison for local community perspectives and engagement with the college, ensuring the community is aware of opportunities to connect. • Manage correspondence by phone, email, and mail with stakeholders. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of engagement information and interactions in the CRM. • Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the college remains competitive in its alumni and community engagement efforts. • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in constituent relations or a related field, such as community engagement, communications, or business administration. • Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing outreach programs and/or special events. • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. • High level of initiative, creativity, and resourcefulness, including the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required for events and engagement activities, with occasional travel required.
