We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our leadership team as the Director of Budget and Finance for the Water Infrastructure Financing Administration (WIFA). This role is pivotal in guiding the financial strategy, growth, and operational efficiency of WIFA. We seek a dynamic leader with proven expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and risk management, familiar with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. This is a MANAGEMENT SERVICES position and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. Grade:
24 Location:
Maryland Department of the Environment, Water Infrastructure Financing Administration, 1800 Washington Blvd., Baltimore, MD 21230 Main Purpose of Job: This position functions as the Director of Budget and Finance within MDE, overseeing the allocation of Federal and State funds for water safety and environmental protection, including financial management, loan disbursement, and compliance review. Position Duties include: Driving long-term financial planning and resource allocation. Overseeing budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting. Managing financial operations including accounting and grants. Collaborating with senior leadership on policy decisions. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Five years of senior-level experience managing financial operations, including budget management and analysis. Two years of supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications: Additional experience in financial management and supervision. Selection Process:
