who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take the next step in their career. The Director will play a key role in managing client relationships, shaping communication strategies, and delivering high-impact media campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications Leadership Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies aligned with client goals in the life sciences industry. Provide expert counsel on media relations, reputation management, and crisis communications. Lead integrated campaigns that reflect current regulatory and industry trends. Client Engagement & Account Oversight Serve as a senior advisor and main point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and strategic alignment. Manage and mentor account teams to deliver high-quality, timely, and creative communications solutions. Drive client satisfaction through proactive communication and results-driven execution. Media Relations & Thought Leadership Leverage strong media relationships to secure top-tier and trade coverage for clients. Identify and develop thought leadership opportunities, including speaking engagements, bylined content, and awards. Guide clients on social media strategy to enhance visibility and engagement. Industry Expertise & Regulatory Insight Stay informed on life sciences trends, regulatory updates, and public policy developments. Help clients navigate complex regulatory environments with clear, compliant messaging. Business Development Support new business efforts by contributing to proposals, pitches, and relationship-building. Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and expand the agency's life sciences portfolio. Team Leadership & Development Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and inclusion. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of team and client work.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience
in public relations, with a strong focus on life sciences, healthcare, biotech, or pharma. Proven success in developing and executing strategic communications programs. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Deep understanding of regulatory bodies such as the FDA, CDC, and related frameworks. Strong media relations skills and a track record of securing impactful coverage. Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and clients in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
