Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Data Strategy & Reporting to own and evolve Allevio’s data infrastructure, reporting frameworks, and analytics strategy. This leader will play a foundational role in shaping how data is structured, accessed, and used across our fast-growing platform.
The ideal candidate blends deep technical expertise with strategic problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills. You will lead the design and governance of our enterprise data architecture - including oversight of our existing data lake - while ensuring reporting, analytics, and data operations drive business decision-making across integration, clinical, operational, and financial teams.
You will manage a team of local and international contributors and work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the company, including C-suite leadership, to ensure that data is accessible, insightful, and actionable.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Ownership
Serve as the senior-most voice on data strategy within the organization
Proactively identify opportunities to drive impact through data - from predictive analytics to performance benchmarking
Establish best practices around data access, governance, and stakeholder communication
Data Infrastructure & Engineering Oversight
Own the strategy and execution for Allevio’s data architecture, including the design and ongoing development of our enterprise data lake (Azure)
Ensure integration of data from multiple EHR systems and business applications into a unified, governed source of truth
Partner with technical stakeholders to maintain data pipelines, data quality, and security standards
Reporting & Analytics
Lead the development of scalable dashboards and reports to support department leaders, affiliate practice owners, and executive stakeholders
Translate complex data outputs into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
Support reporting needs across finance, operations, patient care, and compliance
Team Management & Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing data team, including international contributors
Create structure, training plans, and documentation to ensure team growth, ownership, and continuity of knowledge
Serve as a liaison between the data team and cross-functional leadership to align on priorities and deliverables
EHR Transition & Practice Integration
Oversee the data component of EHR transitions across newly acquired practices
Ensure seamless migration of clinical and patient data into our EHR system (AdvancedMD)
Collaborate closely with integration and operations teams to align on timelines, scope, and impact
Qualifications:
8–15 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or business intelligence, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and other components of the Azure data stack.
Proficiency in SQL and Python, with familiarity using tools such as Power BI
Experience with modern data architecture principles (e.g., ELT/ETL pipelines, data warehousing, cloud- storage)
Experience integrating and reporting from Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as AdvancedMD, e-Clinical Works, NextGen, or similar
Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards in a healthcare or regulated environment
Background in healthcare, multi-site operations, or private equity-backed environments strongly
Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially in presenting data-driven insights to executive leadership
Experience managing teams
