We are seeking a strategic Director of Engineering to lead automation and productivity improvements in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This role involves overseeing the Maintenance Team and fostering innovation through AI applications. Key Qualifications: Proven leadership experience in heavy industry manufacturing Strong background in manufacturing automation, process engineering, or productivity improvement Knowledge of electronics systems such as PLCs, controllers, and industrial automation technologies Practical understanding of AI applications in manufacturing and a desire to innovate Experience managing or overseeing a Maintenance team Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into action Excellent communication and collaboration skills Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering; advanced degrees preferred Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute engineering strategies to enhance automation and efficiency Identify and implement emerging technologies, including AI, to optimize production Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and IT for smart manufacturing initiatives Support and oversee the Maintenance team, emphasizing safety and continuous improvement Evaluate and deploy automation tools and systems Monitor KPIs and drive data-driven improvements Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
