Mission:
Lead IEC Holden's Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AE) team, located at our operations in the US, Mexico and Canada, through a major period of growth. More than ten new electric motor manufacturing programs (NPIs) will be launched into production over the next 24 months covering a range of; volumes (from 100s per year to 10s of thousands per year); sizes (1-500hp) and; motor designs (axial flux, induction, PM, transverse flux, brushed and brushless DC, linear etc...). Through broad experience in launching electric motors into production, you will lead us in earning customer trust through on-time, on-budget and on-quality launch. The results you deliver through implementation of standard/best practices, discipline, a focus on results and empowering a great team will be the "motor" that grows our business 5x over the next five years.
Competencies
New Product Introduction (NPI) Success: Target: 95%+ achievement of all New Product Introduction (NPI) key milestones. Five major and five minor new product lines per year will be launched into production for multiple customers across a range of sizes and designs - from 1hp to 5,000hp, DC, AC, axial flux, hairpin, exotic designs - for both manual, lower volume processes and high-volume automated production. Launching in minimum two site - USA and Mexico. Target: 95%+ achievement of NPI budgets (by program). Approximately $5M of CAPEX annually will be managed for NPI and major line improvements. Customer Satisfaction & Feedback: Target: Minimum 90% Customer Satisfaction through NPI stage Team Performance & Development: Target: 95% Retention rate of key engineering talent. Hire / tool the team so that we have a core competence in AE that can deliver the scalability of the business. This includes both our permanent employees and an amazing team of third-party technical resources to give us scalability without growing our fixed team greater than needed. Best Practices / Best Process: Target: Within 6 months implement Best Practice/Best Process that ensures repeatable and efficient NPI excellence.
Job Competencies Deep Technical Expertise in Electric Motors:
Known as an "expert" in electric motor manufacturing, with over 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and launching a variety of motor types into production. Have a deep understanding of the technologies, materials, and processes used in electric motor production across a broad range of platforms. Leadership & Team Management:
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire both remote and in-house teams, fostering collaboration and high performance across multiple projects. A clear track record in mentoring and developing engineering talent, ensuring alignment and motivation to achieve organizational goals.
