Springdale Health and Rehab is seeking a skilled and compassionate
Director of Nursing (DON)
to lead and manage our nursing department. The DON will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting a positive team environment, and delivering high-quality, person-centered care to our residents. Essential Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive nursing policies and procedures Ensure that all resident care meets or exceeds federal, state, and local standards Supervise nursing personnel, including hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluations Lead performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives (QAPI) Foster collaboration across departments to maintain efficient facility operations Monitor staffing levels and adjust for census and acuity Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns with professionalism and empathy Participate in facility leadership meetings and strategic planning Maintain strong survey readiness and documentation compliance Qualifications:
Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas (or compact state) Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility Prior experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing preferred Thorough knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and manage clinical staff Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities Commitment to resident advocacy and delivering exceptional care Benefits:
