Primary Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable web, mobile, and cloud-native applications using modern technologies such as AWS, React, Node.js, and GraphQL.
Partner with product management to translate business needs into robust technical solutions and system architectures.
Define and enforce engineering best practices, standards, and processes to ensure secure, high-quality, and resilient software.
Provide strategic oversight of the Data Intelligence function (Data Science and Business Intelligence). Ensure data initiatives align with business priorities and are integrated into product and engineering workflows.
Continuously optimize the development lifecycle through automation, tooling, and workflow improvements.
Recruit, mentor, and develop top engineering talent, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Stay current with emerging technologies and architecture trends; evaluate and adopt new tools and practices where appropriate.
Contribute hands-on to technical design and development when needed to support team momentum and unblock challenges.

Additional Responsibilities:
Set technical direction and team vision in collaboration with engineering leadership. Oversee the architecture, design, and development of scalable, high-quality software solutions.
Champion engineering best practices across the SDLC, including secure coding standards, automated testing, and continuous integration/deployment.
Lead DevOps strategy and execution, including CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and alerting to ensure system reliability and operational excellence.
Own system uptime, performance, and resilience. Continuously optimize infrastructure for cost efficiency, scalability, and observability.
Track and report on key engineering and operational metrics to measure team productivity, quality, and velocity.
Mentor and develop engineering talent; identify growth opportunities, promote accountability, and support career advancement.
Review architecture and code, resolve complex technical issues, and remove performance bottlenecks across the stack.
Continuously improve team workflows, tooling, and development processes to enhance speed, quality, and agility.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
8+ years developing software applications using modern frameworks like React, Node.js.
Hands-on expertise building scalable cloud-native systems on AWS.
Experience with DevSecOps tools and CI/CD workflows.
5+ years leading and mentoring engineering teams.
Strong project execution from design to launch.
Comfortable debugging complex issues across the stack.
Excellent at technical troubleshooting and system optimization.
Knowledge of healthcare standards like FHIR and HL7 is a plus.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
Background developing cloud-native applications using serverless and other cloud technologies.
Experience leading DevOps initiatives and scaling infrastructure in cloud environments (preferably AWS).
Familiarity with data science workflows, analytics platforms, and BI tooling (e.g., Fabric, Power BI, Snowflake, Django, Python, etc.).
Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA and HITECH is preferred.
