Are you passionate about growing dynamic Jewish communities, empowering emerging leaders, and connecting students across campuses? North Carolina Hillel is seeking a Director or Assistant Director of Link, (title flexible depending on prior experience), to lead and grow NC Hillel's innovative multi-campus initiative, NC Hillel Link. You'll be responsible for leading a team that works directly with Jewish students to connect, motivate, and empower them to create a vibrant and welcoming Jewish community on campus. This role is like Hillel on wheelsyou should be excited to hit the road, travel between campuses, and personally connect with students wherever they are. The successful candidate will collaborate with students to develop creative, intentional, and relevant programming that meets the diverse needs of each campus, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to engage meaningfully in Jewish life. In this exciting role, you'll work closely with students across six campuses, each with its own unique culture and Jewish population, to create dynamic and meaningful Jewish experiences. Through immersive retreats and student led programming, you'll foster deeper connections among students, all while developing Hillels that reflect the needs of each campus. The Director/Assistant Director of Link will work closely with the Senior Jewish Educator, Managing Director and Executive Director to realize NC Hillel's vision for thriving Jewish communities across the state. You will oversee campus engagement, leadership development, and programmatic innovation, while also serving as a thought partner in strategy and resource development. This role is ideal for a creative, strategic, and relational leader ready to make a statewide impact on students' Jewish journeys. Key Responsibilities
Vision, Strategy, and Campus Leadership Partner with the Executive Director to implement and enhance a vision for vibrant Jewish life across Link campuses. Strengthen Hillel infrastructure on individual campuses and facilitate cross-campus opportunities. Represent NC Hillel as a thought leader in the national conversation about Jewish life on emerging campuses. Team Leadership & Supervision Supervise and support a growing Link team, including 2 FT Engagement Associates and any future campus-based professionals. Lead regular team meetings, support professional development, and foster a culture of collaboration and learning. Participate in Hillel International and NC Hillel-wide professional development opportunities. Student Engagement & Community Building Oversee a comprehensive student engagement and community-building strategy across Link campuses. Coach student leaders and interns to design inclusive and meaningful Jewish experiences. Facilitate immersive experiences such as Birthright Israel, retreats, and intercampus Shabbatonim. Program Design & Implementation Collaboratively develop and implement content-rich programs with students, faculty, and community partners. Create scalable program models and templates for use across campuses. Ensure that programs reflect a diversity of Jewish expression and are welcoming to all students. Budget & Resource Development
Manage Link's overall budget and assist in tracking campus-specific spending. Work with the Managing Director to ensure responsible fiscal planning. Support grant writing, reporting, and storytelling that advances the Link mission. Assist student campus leaders in securing university and community funding. Director-Level Responsibilities
University and Community Partnerships Cultivate strong relationships with university officials, faculty advisors, and student affairs offices. Develop community networks and councils to support each campus and engage local Jewish stakeholders. Serve as a connector between campuses and Jewish communal institutions across North Carolina. Development & Resource Building Identify and steward donors in partnership with the Executive Director. Create and cultivate a network of Link alumni and parent donors to support NC Hillel's annual campaign. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements (Assistant Director Level): 46 years of relevant professional experience in Hillel, Jewish education, community engagement, or a related field. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or comparable Jewish learning experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and lead projects independently. Strong communication, organizational, and program development skills. Willingness to travel frequently across the state (including overnight), and work some evenings and weekends. Additional Requirements (Director Level): 7+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in Jewish communal or campus-based leadership roles. Master's degree in Jewish education, nonprofit management, higher education, or a related field preferred. Proven experience supervising professionals, managing budgets, and leading strategic initiatives. Track record of successful donor cultivation and/or grant writing. Visionary thinker with the confidence and creativity to lead in emerging or under-resourced environments. Salary and Benefits

$60,000$70,000 Director:
